Transfer Students

Transfer Students

MCC provides many options to students who desire to transfer community college credit to four-year colleges and universities including:

  • Course by Course Transfer Guides

  • Associate-to-Bachelor's Articulation Agreements (A-to-B)

  • Program Transfer Guides

Students planning to transfer to a four year institution should contact a MCC Transfer advisor within your first few quarters of study at MCC to ensure a smooth transfer experience.

course by course transfer

Discover MCC courses that four-year institutions will accept as equivalent to their courses. Course-by-course guides are helpful if the student knows the exact class or classes needed to transfer. For the most up-to-date course by course transfer information click on the Transfer Nebraska and Transferology links below.

Nebraska’s higher education institutions have joined together to offer Transfer Nebraska, a one-stop site that provides you with a list of courses that will transfer from one school to another.

Transferology makes exploring college transfer easy

Transferology is a nation-wide network designed to help students explore their college transfer options. Students can answer the question "Will my courses transfer?" by adding coursework, exams and/or military learning experiences to see how many schools in the network have matching courses that may be awarded when they transfer. They can also find out what their options are for taking classes over the summer (or whenever) at another school to transfer back to their current school by using the "Find a Replacement Course" feature.

Associates TO Bachelors articulation AGREEMENTS

Associate to Bachelor (A to B) Agreements provide students the opportunity to complete an associate degree while working toward a bachelor's degree. Articulation agreements are official contracts between a four-year institution and MCC to guarantee the MCC associates degree will transfer to the four-year institution. Most, if not all, the credits in the associate degree transfer to the four-year institution, often with the student starting as a junior. To view current agreements, visit our schools, colleges and universities page.

Program Transfer Guides

Program Transfer guides list courses that satisfy admission requirements and academic plans for various programs. Program guides can be found on Transferology or they are linked on the four year schools transfer page

Reverse Transfer Program

Any former MCC student who has transferred 60 or more MCC quarter credit hours to a regionally accredited four-year institution is eligible for the reverse transfer program. Under that program, any student who completes the general education requirements for their bachelor degree program at a Nebraska state college or university and transfers their credits back to MCC with a GPA of 2.0 or higher will have met the MCC general education requirements for their declared associate's degree.
